For this beer we brought in one of our friends, Andrew Bell, from the soon-to-open Radiant Beer Co in Anaheim, CA. We put our minds together and created a beer that we both love drinking, Hoppy Pilsner. This beer is a simple recipe of Weyermann Pilsner and a touch of Carafoam. Riwaka was used in the whirlpool and Strata/Citra was used in the drop hop, totaling a combined dosing rate of 3.3 lbs per bbl, similar to our dosing rate for Pale Ales. This beer is clear, crushable, and crisp with a fruity compliment to the esters and flavors coming from the German lager yeast.
