After drinking the OG Cold IPA whilst out at the hop harvest with the Howling Hops gang, we thought we’d transport it back and do our own version together.What is a Cold IPA?! Well… it’s a little bit of a Lager & IPA hybrid. For ours, we started with a simple malt base using 25% flaked rice, added a good dose of Citra to the whirlpool before fermenting on a Lager Yeast and then hit it with a 14g/l Dry Hop of Citra, Columbus & Mosaic. The result is a super crisp, but deceptively hoppy delight, that also packs a good hit of bitterness. When that sun does come… this is the one!
