Very deep copper to brown clear color, white almost creamy head with fine retention. First aroma is herbal and spicy from the noble German hops used, followed with a sweeter malty and finally fruity aroma contributed by the ale yeast. Taste is initially bready, but the gentle yet rich bitterness kicks in right away. The finish is clean, smooth and crispy which is achieved with the lagering of his beer as required for the style. This being the sticke version of the altbier (more hops, more malt) makes it very enjoyable for both malty and hoppy beer lovers.
