Bring Out Your Dead is a rich Imperial Stout aged in cognac barrels, released just once a year — Double BOYD is, as you might have guessed, aged twice in oak and exponentially more intense.The decadent 2023 iteration spent a combined almost 3 years (33 months to be exact) in barrels: 12 months in Cognac and an additional 21 months in Rye. It's a particularly spirit-forward batch marked by hints of clove, vanilla, and and a touch of rye heat.Note: a labour-intensive and s l o w process such as this one means that the end result will move fast.
