We boiled up a high-gravity stout and transferred it to a Weller and Blanton’s barrel and let them sit for 22 months in oak. Following Barrel aging, we blended them and gave it the Middletown version of the Stay Puft treatment, conditioning it on Marshmallow and a blend of Madagascar, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea Vanillas.Nearly glugging out of the bottle, Barrel Aged Middletown Puft has aromas of deep fudge, bourbon bonbons, caramel, and freshly split vanilla beans. Flavors follow with thick Devil’s Food cake batter, bourbon frosting, vanilla caviar with an earthy sweetness, dark fruit leather, and marshmallow fluff drizzled with chocolate syrup.
