PLP’s Space Fruit Sour comes packed with juicy characters and a wicked tang…Brewers Beau and Jackson kept the malt bill simple – pale and wheat – giving the fruit additions an ideal platform to play. In this case, that’s Murcott (a mandarin & sweet orange hybrid) and strawberry puree.The bulk of the tartness comes from Lactobacillus, which, as many of you will know, is a good bacteria that converts sugars on to lactic acid.It pours with a deep yellow haze. Expect punchy aromas of berry and sweet mandarin – there’s a gentle funk there, too. To drink, it’s bright and tangy, with refreshing carbonation, and a clean fruity finish.
