A modern IPA with bright hop aromas and a soft yet lean malt base, Lakeside defines itself as neither West or East Coast but incorporates elements of both. Brewed in Ballarat, the inland town with ‘no coast’ to speak of, just a big ol’ lake. We designed this beer to be approachable yet rewarding with tropical and fruit bowl aromas of Passionfruit and Lychee that are backed up with Peaches, Pineapple, Citrus and a gentle bitterness.We incorporated some Malted Oats and Wheat to help soften the body without adding too much sweetness, so the luscious mouthfeel then leaves a dry finish where the fruit from the hops can linger. Double dry hopped in the tank to really accentuate the aroma, a beer for those who love hops and good balance
