Great Strong Smoked Ale

Our second collaboration at Great Leap with Qingdao's Strong Ale Works, this smoked ale is golden-amber in color and delicately hopped with Qingdao Flower hops. The malt used was smoked by the wood from the Manuka tree, which is also know as the New Zealand Teatree. More well known for Manuka's flowers which are used in the production of Manuka Honey, this smoked wood produces a unique floral and sweet smoke character.
