Collab with Caravan for the Uppers and Downers festivalInspired by the classic black coffee and marmalade on toast breakfast, this beer was brewed to highlight waste in the food industry. Much of the fermentable sugars for the yeast were taken from stale rye bread steeped overnight in water, whilst the orange zest used in both the boil and conditioning was excess zest from fruit processed for our seasonal IPA Bloody ‘Ell. Finally, we conditioned the beer on waste coffee from a roasting run at Caravan Coffee Roasters.
