The Abbot Castulus, renowed for his kindness, began the tradition of brewing Abbey Beer in Zeliv. The year was 1149. Today Castulus Mead Ale, renamed after the Good Abbot, will please you by its mild and characteristic flavour.In Europe only religious orders had the right to brew abbey beer.
