Sugar Ray Saison

A brown saison that uses subtle additions of roasted malts for color purposes. This saison is brewed with Belgian yeast and uses a unique mixture of spices and botanicals. Boxing Cat uses lemon peel, orange peel, rose hips, hawthorn, green peppercorns as well as fig puree. The flavor is refreshing and very complex but the rose hips are present in the aroma along with a citrus note from the lemon/orange peel. The taste has many depths with hawthorn and rose hips tasted up front with a mild spicy note and fig puree in the finish. An interesting combination of flavors and representative of a nice farmhouse ale as found in Belgium.
