The Criterion Hotel in downtown New Plymouth was once the scene of a robbery by notorious ‘Highwayman’ Robert Wallath. It was also where the late Queen Elizabeth II lodged when she frequented the area. Rumour has it that she would settle in at the downstairs bar ‘Pickwicks’ and even referred to it as her favourite ‘beer spot’. What’s not a rumour, however, is that the passionfruit and citrus character in this Hazy IPA is a right royal treat - a collaboration between Shining Peak and The Beer Spot.
