Midway through 2021, the teams at Margaret River Brewhouse and DTC explored the then newly-named Talus hop via a clean and very drinkable IPA. Although pleased with the results, they figured there was unrealised potential to be mined. So, vowing to see just how far they could push Talus in an IPA, they set out to prove how much was left in the tank in this single hop IIPA.The answer is: a fair bit more!Pouring clear amber the now imperial version immediately offers maximum Talus with huge pink grapefruit and Grandma’s potpourri / rose aromas that persist, before things shift more marmalade-like on the tongue, with a weird yet pleasing neo-mex floral resin joining on the palate. Oh, it’s old school bitter AF too, almost wilfully so.
