Grisettes are known as a working class beer once brewed for the miners of French-speaking Southern Belgium. Brewed with wheat, oats, and spelt, we added a working class fruit to our Grisette, the Goumi Berry! Goumi Berries grow vigorously around fields and orchards, and work as nitrogen fixers in the soil, resulting in increased yields of crops and fruits. They are also a valued plant in the canon of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our Goumi Grisette is a dry, champagne-like ale, with the perfect blend of sweet-tart Goumi and farmhouse yeast spice character. Refreshing and delicious!
