A historic local attraction close to Equilibrium, Orange County Fair Speedway is a five-eighths mile dirt oval speedway here in Middletown, NY. Originally built in 1857 as a track for horse racing, it was converted to an auto racing track in 1919 and has been operating as such since. Since 1948, It operates on a weekly basis from April to September. This year, Orange County Fair Speedway will celebrate its 100th year of Auto Racing. Its Centennial season concludes with the 58th running of our Eastern States 200 stock car races on October 25th, 26th & 27th. We couldn’t think of a better way to help celebrate than making a beer for a local attraction, from our local brewery.Eastern States Ale is a traditional pale ale made specifically for easy drinking. With white wheat as part of the base, we added Columbus and Simcoe in the whirlpool and then dry hopped it with Citra and additional Simcoe. It has a light and smooth body, a touch of citrus flavor along with dank pine notes and a crisp refreshing finish. Perfect for weekends at the racetrack.
