This past spring we had the great pleasure of selecting New Zealand hops from our friends at Freestyle hops for the first time ever!This year we selected for the varietal Riwaka. This is one of the rarest and most expensive hops in the industry. It is a bit of chameleon and can present a myriad of different ways on the palate, which is what makes it a hop we can’t get enough of. We get soft tropical notes with undertones of berry when fresh, and as the beer ages it moves to ripe red berry flesh with tropical undertones and a suggestion of candy. Such a cool hop.We’re thrilled to be able to share our selection of Riwaka with you.
