This beer was something that the brewers have talked about brewing for ages and finally we are doing it. Given that we have all spent some time either brewing traditional styles in England or drinking plenty of beautiful fresh cask beer we really wanted to do our spin on it. With a focus on fresh malt character we have used a base of Maris Otter for its chewy biscuity character and complimented it with a bend of crystal malts and a touch of light melanoidin malt to bump up the richness. Hopping is a mix of traditional EKG for sticky earthy marmalade and some US Cascade to introduce some grapefruit to the mix.
