Considered the Champagne of the North, at the height of the 19th Century this was the most popular drink in Northern Germany. It is refreshing, light, and carries a wonderful tart lemonade and bready backbone. However, what takes this beer to the next level is when it is combined with a signature simple syrup (historically Woodruff or Raspberry).
