This Rauchbier is a special one-time & limited Experimental Brew, created by Johannes, one of our latest brewery interns. Smokey, malty, bread, toffee, with a slight sweetness.From the creator:I’ve been experimenting with smoked malt as a home brewer and wanted to take it to the next level when I got this larger scale brew opportunity. This time, I wanted the smoky flavours to be more in the forefront. The beer is influenced by the Helles Rauchbier style, but I chose to let a significant portion of the grain bill consist of Munich malt, in order to get more of a malty bread character to complement the smokeyness. This, however, will make it a bit darker than a Helles normally is.
