2022 Barrel Adoption.Another beer as voted by members. It’s big, it’s bold, and it has a kick. This is a great example of a beer is ready when it’s ready. We had earmarked this double barrel release for the second box of the BAP release, but with a couple of degrees warmer during the summer the barrel really opened. The artistry of barrel aging is as much about knowing enough is enough and ensuring that the beer isn’t ‘over-cooked’ by the barrel. Balance is king.The darker malts used create a raisin / toffee and biscuit base to accommodate the layers of vanilla from the American oak / molasses from the dark rum and that bit of warmth at the end.
