Modern west coast IPA. People often ask me what beer styles I think will be popular in the future. This beer is along the lines of one of my answers. A return to drier, balanced IPA with large aromatic hop load to back it up. Shiny Island is brewed under the above guidelines but with classic west coast heritage in mind. Meaning pine needles and orange zest aromas and a clean uncomplicated malt base. Layers of hop flavour mixing NZ and US varieties and a rising smooth bitterness.
