Brigantine Stout

A bold and robust export oyster stout.We used the finest Maris otter barley and a medley of specialist roasted malts mixed in to create a layered hot mash.We then added three rounds of whole Whitstable oysters and Kentish Challender and Admiral hops during an extended 90 minute boil. Finally, we fermented the beer with a traditional yeast befitting of this style’s heritage.The result is a midnight black ale with bold and robust flavours of hedgerow berry, boozy salted cherries with background notes of dark chocolate and tobacco.This beer contains roughly one oyster per pint of beer.
