Seyval Lager

In partnership with local grape-growers, Boordy Vineyards, the brewing team created a co-fermented beer that was 60% malted grains and 40% Seyval Blanc grape must. This blending of grain and fruit was fermented with a mix of lager and wine yeasts, leading to a bright and effervescent character, backed by aromas of pears and green grapes. Still technically a beer, this recipe shows off how flavors can work together in unison to create unique drinks, and how sometimes, the whole is equal to more than the parts.
