We have gotten to brew beer with some great guests - but nobody can compare to the guest we had for this beer - my father, Liam. Liam likes lower abv beers - so during this brew day we focused this beer in highlighting the barley we used to provide a nice grainy flavor combined with the subtle beauty of whole cone Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops (Jaensch garden) and pellet saaz hops, then dry hopped with the even more subtle beauty that is Riwaka™ - my dad flew the hops over, and we had a great day brewing this light and sessionable pale ale.
