A new sour beer blend starring California-grown organic pluots, aged up to 14 months in two types of oak barrels—cider and cherry wine—from Mission-Trail Ranches in Bradley, CA. Spoiler alert: This brew has gracefully aged into quite the complex creation, with layers of flavor beyond the featured hybrid fruit. Complementary aromas of white nectarine and pear arise from its straw color and bright white head. Expect this ale to deliver essences of lemon-lime zest and Riesling wine-like minerality on the tongue with a fair amount of funk.
