Labyrinth w/ Hazelnuts

A long time friend, Jared Lewinski, came to town with the Bolero Snort crew and helped us brew up a big time imperial brown ale! A complex malt bill featuring honey malt, flaked rye, and caramel malts, Labyrinth is a delightful dark ale boasting rich caramel and toffee, some light bready rye spice, and a hint of milk chocolate. Most of this was laid to rest in whiskey barrels, but we saved some liquid to create our first of two non-barrel aged variants. First up is hazelnut! We roasted 10#/bbl of blanched hazelnuts and conditioned Labyrinth on them for 3 days, bringing a rich nutty profile and a creamy nutella-like finish.
