Some time ago, it was the “Three Cs” of Centennial, Cascade and Columbus that made many West Coast IPAs what they were, with Chinook later becoming just as important. Today, it's Citra that's one of the most popular hops from the US, with its rise showing no sign of slowing as hop growers plant more and more acres of it. Braeside Brewing’s Cee Storm is a tribute to hops beginning with C, with CTZ, Citra, Cascade, Chinook, and Centennial and all coming together for the 8.0 per cent ABV double IPA.In fact, the last three of those were used again and again to provide some particularly old-school IPA flavours while the beer is also clear, bitter and orange. It means this storm brings a flurry of dank pine, grapefruit and floral flavours with an element of marmalade and lightly sweet biscuit coming from its malt.
