BREWED FOR SINGLE KEG SHOWDOWN 2019Malt: Pilsner, Best Acidulated, WheatHops: LemondropOther: Pepperberry, lemon myrtle, foraged karkala, lemon juice, saltTranslucent and coral-pink in colour, this is an ethereal beer from another time. Vibrant citrus echoes elegant modern flavours like yuzu (not actually present but hinted at by the blending of lemon myrtle and the other adjuncts), as well as emotionally charged sense-memories of lemonade/lemon-lime icy-poles alongside the salt-tang of sea air. Perfumed and rosy, tangy and fresh, almost candied but not sweet, and just ever so subtly spiced this is a beer with a foot in two worlds. It is elegantly modern, but with native flavours rooted in the distant past.
