Eric Clapton had “Blackie” and "Brownie”; Willie Nelson has “Trigger”; Keith Richards, “Micawber”. But, before all of them, B.B. King had “Lucille”. Described as ”dressed in a tuxedo”, “Lucille” was the inspiration for our first Rare Breed release of 2023, a rich ebony-coloured imperial stout, with a creamy golden-hued head.Aged for nine months in cognac & Pedro Ximenez barrels, then blended with a hint of raspberry puree, this limited release has a smooth and balanced flavour, with elevated notes of darkchocolate and coffee and a rich red berry sweetness.
