On the nose, there is a hit of that classic Belgian yeast character, with a lovely mix of peppery spice and ripe banana, with a hint of pear. There's a subtle undertone of honey and a little bit of biscuit from the 100% Pilsner malt, which gives it a real backbone, a light but satisfying sweetness that's perfectly balanced by the alcohol warmth. The Saaz and Perle hops are subtle, providing a gentle bitterness and a touch of herbal flavour that just cleanses the palate.
