We have been playing a lot more lately with doing even 50/50 blends of hops, and Legion of Bloom is another perfect example of what it can do. When you get hops that are as ripe and pungent as we've been getting, sometimes going halfsies is the best way to get the maximum character from both without having one or the other getting overshadowed or muddled in the aroma. With Legion Of Bloom, we knew this beer would be perfect for a tag-team partnership between Mosaic and Enigma. Both of these hops are incredibly aromatic and pungent and also share similar aromatic attributes of ripe melon, berry medleys, white wine, and overripe citrus. What we love is how the Enigma lifts Mosaic onto the top ropes with its undeniable strength and pungent ferocity, and Mosaic kind of levels out the Enigma a bit, keeping it from being too overwhelming with its ever-changing notes that sometimes can be a bit on the dank side. While we love both of these hops when they are on their own, there is something incredible about pairing them up together and letting them run wild in a tropical whirlwind.Hops: Mosaic, Enigma
