The base for Barrel Aged Save The Mountain was aged for 12 months in a single Taconic Maple Bourbon Barrel. Following it's time in oak, we added Valkyrie coffee roasters washed Peruvian Apasajem coffee, organic honey, and just a pinch of marshmallow.Barrel Aged Save The Mountain pours pitch black with a quickly dissipating mocha head. The beer opens with flavors of chocolate honey cake, pour over coffee, crushed macadamia nuts, caramel nougat, and bourbon lace marshmallow topping.We crafted this beer to help Orange County Land Trust acquire the iconic property, Sugar Loaf Mountain, in nearby Chester, NY. Their vision is to make this scenic land public and create new trail systems that everyone can enjoy.
