일본 나가하마에 위치한 ’나가하마 증류소(長濱蒸溜所)‘와 크래프트 맥주를 만드는 ‘나가하마 로만 비어(長濱浪漫ビール)‘는 같은 회사입니다. 1996년부터 맛있는 크래프트 맥주를 만들던 나가하마 로만 비어는 2016년부터 나가하마 증류소를 만들어 증류를 시작하고 위스키를 생산합니다. 마치 크래프트브로스가 크래프트 맥주로 시작해서 지금은 맥주와 위스키를 함께 만들고 있는 것과 똑같습니다.이런 나가하마로만비어/나가하마증류소와 크래프트브로스가 콜라보레이션을 진행합니다. 위스키와 맥주라는 공통분모가 이번 콜라보레이션의 시작이었습니다. 맥주 파트에서는 우선 동일한 레시피로 각각의 양조장에서 구현할 수 있는 최대의 열정과 역량으로 스카치 에일(Wee Heavy)을 만들었습니다.1800년대 스코틀랜드의 에딘버러에서 유래된 스카치에일은 홉이나 효모보다는 몰트의 풍미를 강조한 맥주로, 위스키를 만드는 양사가 함께 콜라보레이션을 한다면 당연히 만들어야할 맥주죠. 이번에는 캐스크 숙성이 없는 스카치에일을 출시할 예정이며, 캐스크에서 숙성한 버전은 숙성기간을 충분히 가진 후 출시할 예정입니다. 맥주 콜라보레이션에 이은 위스키 콜라보레이션도 기대해주세요.Nagahama Distillery, in Nagahama, Japan, and Nagahama Roman Beer, which makes craft beer, are the same company. We will release a scotch ale without cask aging, and an aged version later.
