Cab Franc piquette was made by ageing Cabernet Franc skins in saline water from our local aquifer for 14 days.It smells like memories of long harvest days - in a really surprising way.What's it like?: We were shocked when we smelled this, the aroma takes us right back to sorting fresh red grapes last fall. You smell the sticky sweetness of fresh red grape juice, alongside wafts of herbal stems. Our native yeast have turned up the funk a little bit here, with notes of barnyard and horse blanket under the stemmy fruit.It's funky, fruity, tannic and delicious.
