This apple was discovered around 1800 on a farm in Pennsylvania near a smokehouse. In a strange coincidence, post-fermentation it has a light whiff of smoke, good tannin, and oak character with a creme brulee finish. 100% Smokehouse apple grown at Masonville Orchards in Ft. Collins, CO.
