DescriptionFor Estonian Republics birthday in 2016 we came out with a special beer – ginger stout. This style is not easily found elsewhere. The beer name „Confucius“ derives from the ancient Chinese scholar, who spiced all his foods with ginger – that is said to ensure a long life.Beer color is black with red flares with chocolaty foam layer. Aroma is a mixture of roasted malt, summer blueberries and slight cocoa flavours. Ginger aroma is noticeable, but still humble and mild.There is a lightness to the beer, with roasted flavours on the dry-side and slight bitterness at first taste, but the palate will evolve into fruity juiceness in the end. A light smoky haze gives it a pleasant nuance – ginger being the finishing note.IngredientsWater, pale barley malts, aroma and bitter hops, beer yeast.
