We took a portion of our beloved Moeder Seizoen and conditioned it on Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops. With the right combination, something really cool happens when mature mixed culture beers interact with really aromatic oil heavy hops - some kind of biotransformation, where entirely new flavors that weren’t present in the beer or the hops on their own, are suddenly revealed in a 1 + 1 = 4 magic trick. The initial aroma shows funky white oak, farmhouse brettanomyces, grape Big League Chew, and toasty malt, while the flavor pops with tart tropical fruit salad, wild geranium, pink rose hydrosol, lime juice, and fresh pineapple.
