The idea behind Ragnar was to take an English Bitter base beer, typified by a toasty bread and light caramel malt balanced by a respectable hop bitterness, but then switch the pale pear or plum fruitiness of a traditional English ale yeast for a blend of Kviek strains that have notes of orange and red apple, as well as caramel to really echo the malt character.
