Barleywine aged 12 months in a small format Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrel with Ruby Portwine syrup.STELLAR 2024 (Red) is a special version of our beloved STELLAR - a Barleywine aged in a small format Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel with portwine syrup. Over the time me and Øllebrødre have shared endless bottles of barleywine and stout, always seeking new inspiration for our own beers. Both of us have a great love for subtle redberries notes in barleywines, and we have came across a few where we where totally mismorisered by the flavor and conplexity it gives to the beer. We have talked about intergrete it into our beers many times, but it was an episode of the Bear and a lovely share by Jonas that made it finally happen.We want to share the same experience we had and therefore we have taking our Syrupwine method to simmer down some Ruby portwine until it’s syrup.The taste of the portwine syrup is literally outstanding and brings the beer to a whole other level. We couldn’t be more happy about the result.36 bottles in total.
