Nearly 23 months ago, we filled a Blanton’s barrel with a viscous base stout and then conditioned the barrel aged beer on shelled whole pistachios, honey, and marshmallow.Barrel Aged Einstein’s Macaron pours viscous in nature with a quickly dissipating cap. Aromas of chocolate milk, Lucky Charms cereal, and marshmallow spread open up into flavors of pistachio nougat, honey dipped s’mores, chocolate covered nuts, and spoons of bourbon laced marshmallow topping. There is a toasty barrel element that balances the sweet and creamy ones, making this a liquid version of the macaron we think Einstein would love.
