As the story goes, sometime around the 1820s-30s, Anton Dreher, Owner of Brauhaus zu Klein-Schwechat in Austria, along with his buddy and fellow brewer, went on a beer tour of Europe. They spent most of their time in Britain. In an act of Industrial Espionage, the pair used a specialized hollowed out cane to steal samples of malt, yeast, and wort from these breweries which they used to develop new malt and new beer styles, giving way to the creation of the Vienna Lager, that earned him the title “the beer king.”Our brew is supremely delicate, crisp, and well-balanced, with light roasted malt and caramel notes.
