Herndon is a Hickory Syrup Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout from Falling Bark Farm. The base imperial stout is a first-running stout that clocks in at 13% ABV. Herndon was aged in rye whiskey barrels for just over one year and the result is an imperial stout with notes of chocolate, roasted coffee, oak, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of spice from the rye whiskey. The Hickory Syrup adds notes of nutty, caramel, earthiness, and a hint of smoke.
