Unquestionably a bourbon drinker’s mead.A blend of Orange Blossom and Meadowfoam honey, this tradition spent over 3 years running through 3 different barrels. Resting in hand selected Knob Creek and Elijah Craig barrels first, the final year of slumber was spent in a rum barrel.While big and boozy with plenty of tannin behind it, we went with a recipe that we felt could hold up to the extreme aging over time.A sweet mead at it’s core, these two honeys compliment the character these barrels passed along.Vanilla, wood spice, toffee, tobacco, lacquer, cherry, plantain and a multitude of other flavors make themselves present with the massive spirit profile.
