Grasp of Noir

Grasp of Noir is the third collaboration with our friends from Modern Times Beer in San Diego, CA. We asked them what was their favorite treatment they have done to their stouts and they responded with their NOLA treatment based off a Cafe Noir or New Orleans-Style Coffee. We roasted local almonds, toasted chicory root, Mexican vanilla beans, and Honduran coffee beans roasted by Modern Times. The result was less of a coffee forward beer but more of a coffee drink balanced with the other nutty and sweet flavors.
