I'll take you through the reasoning here: there's a hop called Trident, yeah? Fruity, citrus-tasting, kind of a passionfruit thing.But the trident is also the symbol of Maserati, an Italian retail therapy to middle aged men in crisis company, i.e. they make fast cars. "Merak" is a model of Maserati, from back in the day.Back in the day, Dean's dad used to drive a Merak.Anyway here we are, in the present day, with a tasty tropical-style pale ale, and a brewer (Dean) who gets around in a little grey van with a few dents.And is there a moral to this story? Something about downward class mobility between generations? Or else maybe something about how the "little things" (nice beer) make you happier than expensive sports cars? No idea.
