A blend of beer styles, ingredients and brewing cultures.We brewed the beer with some visiting Dutch brewers and a Scotsman using a traditional Norwegian recipe and authentic Kveik yeast, including steeping juniper branches in the brewing water prior to mashing. To spice things up we drew inspiration from Captain Cook’s famous beer and added Rimu (Spruce) and Manuka branches in the boil. The different branches coupled with the particular yeast strain and some good NZ hops and malts, have resulted in a super drinkable Christmas Spiced, Hoppy Festive Ale.
