Ah, the humble IPA. The style which we’re known for best, and the one with which we wouldn’t exist as we do today. We’re pretty adept at this style, but how do you put a twist on our modern classic? Make a reference to an old school classic and hybridize your beer is what you do! On the back of some chatter from our long overdue 2020 staff party, the question of underrated old school classics came along. When Lagunitas’ Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ was thrown into the hat, we reminisced about how great it was to drink a beer that was primarily IPA led, but with that bready crispness of a wheat beer. Bringing that concept into 2021, we’ve created Lush! – a Wheat India Pale Ale with a thoroughly modern twist. Expect to find the usual Polly’s hallmarks; soft, pillowy, juicy, but with a defined crisp drinkability from the heavy use of wheat in the malt bill.
