This year we let one of our Mug Club members design a Stout for 2020 Stout Month. We voted on the submissions and Dwayne Smallwood's idea was picked to be brewed. This was the second beer I had the pleasure to brew with Dwayne. He had a great idea but not an easy one to execute. To get the caramel flavor we decided to take 100 lbs of sugar and in small batches turn it in to caramel. Then we had to find a way to melt that caramel and stuff in into the kettle. It wasn't easy but we got it done. We than added Macadamia Nut, Cacao Nibs, and Sea Salt to make a sweet, nutty, chocolaty, and salty stout.
