Our cold growing climate in Minnesota produces some hidden treasures, and the unsung honeyberry is one we, at Forager, have become particularly fond of. Two barrels of mixed culture saisons were chosen to host the party for these extraordinary northern jewels. One barrel was very dry with a noticeable woody, earthy, white wine essence, while the second was fruitier and more floral. The fine folks at Honeyberry USA in Bagley, Minnesota provided the fruits for this truly northern saison. Complex flavors similar to a mixed fruit jam swirl with aromas of wildflowers and freshly turned earth. Savor this rare Minnesota treasure amongst falling leaves with a loved one.
