Spruce Juice

For this small batch Variant we dosed a keg of our The Loud Parts Quiet pale ale with fresh spruce tips! We've used frozen Colorado Spruce tips a few times (e.g., Ent Dragon). These were fresh and Maryland-grown by our friends at Black Locust Hops Farm Brewery! Rather than being "piney" they were amazingly citrusy-tropical! Honestly the beer tastes more like it had an extra round of Simcoe dry hopping, rather than a Christmas-tree-infusion!
